Furl this bitch!

http://www.furl.net/learnMore.jsp

Seems like an interesting idea. But I suppose other then a cache/archive what's the difference between this and just me blogging a list of links?

What would suck

Would be to get blinded by a laser pointer in a meeting...

24-7 "free" energy... just takes 10 yrs to start to recup your investment.

I hope this isn't a cover for some new age Tower of Babel, I already have enough problems with the current number of languages

Those replies are priceless.....

Great Seminars

Some great seminars about people who think with the long view... of course when you have lots of money that's all you really need to bother being concerned about.

Cell phone jammers

I've been excited by electronics recently... no idea why. It's not as though I have any tools or experience to make anything.

Random Design links

Some awsome stuff in here... I think mostly all by one guy but I can't remember the original article that pointed me to these places.... oh it was from here:

Coffee the wonder drug

http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/conditions/02/15/coffee.cancer.ap/index.html

Coffee helps prevent liver cancer.
And there was seriously an article in Wired a long time ago about a Dr. who has enemas twice a day of coffee cause it's supposed to be amazing at preventing intestional cancer.

I'll have a fresh pot please... none of that nutty flavored kind

Modern Stonehenge

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4264945.stm

New Zeland... they built a modern version of Stonehenge so you can actually learn how it works and walk around it. That and apparently it's wired fo sound so you can "rock out" too if you want.

Yea, that was bad I know. But admit it, you laghed, atleast in embarassment

Smartwater Valentine

I suppose this would make it more difficult to not leave evidance. To be a successful criminal would mean being a chemist too so you could remove this.

Yea, I know you're supposed to be serious, some of us just deal with trauma differently.

Give 'em the Finger

http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/02/10/biometric.age.ap/index.html

Apparently adult's middle fingers are different then kids... I suggest it's because they've gotten more "use".

I could see this tech working for a bar or something, but at a computer... well I can see a whole new market for old men buying young chicken bones.

Two Interesting IQ articles

http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/050202_reaction_time.html

Apparently reaction time might be an even stronger indicator then IQ for longevity... bring my my coffee!

And, smart people are more apt to choke under pressure

http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/050209_under_pressure.html

I take some issue to them saying that doing as well as the lower scoring group is "cracking" and it's possible that it simply implies that "checking your work" causes your score to drop, and smart kids only do it under pressure, where as dumb people do it all the time.

What a way to go

It's from the onion, it's a spoof.
But it's ohh so funny, atleast now that I'm a Project Manager I guess....

What's a man gotta do to make a buck, and show some tits, in South Dakota.
I'm suprised he didn't jump straight to the "massage parlor" industry, but likely that've made them more suspicious.
